Museum of the American Revolution, City Tavern, and the National Constitution Center
Get ready for a great deal of walking; a full day of exploring and examining people, events, and ideals that gave birth to our nation. Join the angry mob that pulls down a statue of King George III. Wrestle with conflicting ideals of loyalty and independence. Face the enemy on the front lines of battle while risking everything for the uncertain hope of freedom.
Walk a city block to enjoy a taste of 18th Century cuisine at City Tavern, one of the oldest taverns in America; where some of our finest presidents and statesmen dined. Chef Walter Staib, is proprietor, third-generation restaurateur, James Beard-nominated chef, culinary historian, and host of his TV Show – A Taste of History.
Following a delicious meal, we will walk to the National Constitution Center; a place that inspires active citizenship as the only place where people across America and around the world can come together to learn about, debate, and celebrate the greatest vision of human freedom in history, the U.S. Constitution.
Explore Hamilton: The Constitutional Clashes That Shaped a Nation, a compelling exhibit which highlights the competing ideas of Alexander Hamilton and his legendary rivals.
