I was brought up with the belief that being part of something can bring people of different backgrounds together.   Yesterday, we held our first Coffee and Kalmbach for the community.  The sun was warmly shining on the golden yellow and orange  bursts of color illuminating  around the park.  Family, friends, and neighbors came out to gather at Kalmbach; together drinking coffee and tea while sharing and visiting with each other. What an important site to see neighbors coming together after many busy months, taking  the time to talk and share what is happening in their lives.  These vital moments of gathering are so needed to help build stronger bonds with each other resulting in creating a  healthier community.

Goethe once quoted, ““The world is so empty if one thinks only of mountains, rivers & cities; but to know someone who thinks & feels with us, & who, though distant, is close to us in spirit, this makes the earth for us an inhabited garden.”

Kalmbach’s trails contain many moments that have brought people together through conversation.  Yesterday was a beautiful site seeing so many walks of life coming together through conversation and coffee.  Thank you to all who came out to enjoy the sunny weather, coffee, tea  and most notably  the company of each other.

See you along the path…
